Cairngorms National Park

The jewel in the heart of the Highlands

Located in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, the Cairngorms National Park provides the full range of visitor experiences. Whether it’s Skiing or mountain biking, Ice climbing or just hill walking or taking a trip to sample some of Scotland’s finest whiskies, the National Park has it all.

Covering an area of over 4000 square kilometres, the park is the largest in the United Kingdom and features some of the country’s most spectacular scenery. Included are the Cairngorm Mountains which provide not only challenging climbs for experienced climbers but due to their easy accessibility, much more gentle hill walking paths as well.

There are lots of other opportunities to enjoy you time in the park but let us take the stress out of organising the many strands that can make up that special vacation. We’ll also take you to some of the Park’s hidden treasures – have a look at the resident Ospreys or sit in the sun on a sandy beach, miles from the Ocean. And of course, one of the main attractions in the park is the River Spey, known to anglers across the planet abut also located in the Spey Valley. And what else is in the Spey Valley – whisky distilleries, lots of them!

In the evening, head to the town of Aviemore to join locals and holidaymakers alike in one of the many traditional hostelries that will bring the culture of the Highlands alive for you. At the other end of the park, enjoy the Royal towns of Ballater and Braemar, both located close to the Queen of Britain’s summer residence – the thing is, you never know who you might bump into in the shops of these historic towns. So with Royal connections, pristine landscapes and activities for all, make sure you take the time spend some of your vacation in the Cairngorms National Park.
