The islands on the edge

The St Kilda archipelago is the most remote part of the British Isles and also claims the title of being the top right hand corner of Europe. Now one a UNESCO world heritage site, it hosts one of the most important seabird colonies and breeding grounds in the world. A truly magical place, we can arrange tours that will literally blow your mind as you kayak round the vertical cliffs and then land at the main village on Hirta, the largest island. There you will see the abandoned homes, left by the last permanent residents who were evacuated in the 1930s as life on this remotest of outposts had become unsustainable, and maybe meet some of the UK armed forces who are the only people that share that islands with wildlife today.
